About the Show

Who are you anyway?

Jon Black and Andres Zea host the largest podcast that we’re aware of that’s focused exclusively on the Thorngate neighborhood and the surrounding environs of Forsyth County. Disclaimer: We make no guarantees on the accuracy of this statement. Several neighborhood children run Youtube channels with larger follower counts, but near as we can tell, none of them have a podcast or their own cars. Here you can see our deep affection for each other.

“But why should I care about the opinions of these two uncomfortably close friends?” you may be asking. Because, again, there are no other podcasts about Forsyth County. To be fair, there is a podcast that the local elementary school puts on, but it’s terrible. We’re committed to covering the local stories that matter most to you - like which restaurants got failing health scores so egregious that they should be forced to move to a town that’ll put up with that sort of shit - like Kennesaw or Gainesville.

The Hosts

Jon Black and Andres Zea are two relatively long term Forsyth County residents. We’ve been to Good Old Days. We remember when it was called Deckers (or at least Jon does). We’ve gotten to second base at Movies 400 (not with each other). In short, we were here before out of towners ruined it all.

Jon Black

Jon Black

Jon has been a Forsyth county resident for 30 years. He’s still not sure if that qualifies as being a local. You can tell he’s in charge due to his picture being on the left side of the page.

Andres Zea

Andres Zea

Andres is a Colombian national and allegedly a naturalized US citizen. Here he is laughing. Perhaps because Jon said something funny. Lord knows somebody has to.
